Aalen Fideli // 4/1/2012

This was going to be an essay. And then i realized it was fictional; so, here we go.

As i write this, I note the many pages of dead stories that surround me; cadavers of ideas past.

What went wrong?

The best stories are those that cannot fail. However, to err is human. (or something poetical like that.)

When i am convinced that i must prevent a story from failing, i write a special sentence in my book. For example: to prevent my untimely demise at the hands of fictional characters i have written, "And Aalen survived."

It really is as simple as that.
