everything will love you

A Poem By Anna // 9/26/2012
love me and I will trust you

with every drop, even the sweat
over every skin cell, even the freckles
on every finger, even the pointers

with every word, even the warnings
for every look, even the glares

with every gift, even the wasted
inside every box, even the empty
hid in every room, even the locked

with every tear, even the rips
on every page, even the dog-eared

with every wound, even the open
showing every heartbeat, even the broken
pumping every breath, even the last

trust me and I will love you

This is absolutely gorgeous!

Wow, Anna. This is one of your best yet. This has so much emotion in it. I love how...ugh...I can't think of the correct words! LOL! But how you listed things that are imperfect and made them beautiful! Good job.

See him with his books:
Tree beside the brooks,
Drinking at the root
Till the branch bear fruit.
See him with his pen:
Written line, and then,
Better thought preferred,
Deep from in the Word.
~John Piper

Give me a moment to emerge

Give me a moment to emerge from my trance...
I really, really like this. Somehow, to me, it's like talking and like a song at the same time. And the mirroring of so many lines. The simplicity. Quite good. :)

'Tis a beautiful poem, Anna. I love how you described it in the middle and how you wrapped it up by reversing the first stanza. It reminds me of God, in some way--on how much He loves us. 'Tis so beautiful, great job! I could never write something like this so well. So simple, but message strikes.

p.s. When do you think you will be able to write more Out of Time? Or what do you plan to do now that we all voted on your blog? I think that even though I voted that I think you should rewrite it and then bring it all back, I think you should follow what you want to do. I just want more; I don't really mind in which way it's brought back.

I'm trying to think of

I'm trying to think of something to say other than "I love this; this is great!" but I can't. I feel like I could have read this in the greatest poems of the year book. :) Very meaningful.

"trust me and I will love you"

"with every gift, even the wasted
inside every box, even the empty
hid in every room, even the locked"

Those are the best bits, I reckon.

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

Hello, my friends.

I wish I'd been able to reply to you all sooner, but I just want to let you know that I loved reading your comments on this piece. You've encouraged me greatly after the recent feeling that I couldn't turn out any good writing.

@Lucy Anne: I think I'll go with the top result on the poll. It seems better to me to get the whole thing worked out. Just keep reminding me to write it!

I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right. --The Book Thief
