There's a certain book that I want you to see
For I know that you're simply dying to read
Of Boromir, brave-hearted, though he was weak,
Aragorn, called Strider, born to be king,
Merry the hobbit, and Pippin his friend,
Samwise Gamgee, faithful to the end,
Gandalf the wizard, lost but then found,
Eomer and Eowyn (just one was crowned),
Legolas Greenleaf, who had bow but no sword,
And his unlikely friendship with Gimli the dwarf,
Of Frodo the Ringbearer, his burden and strife,
And the evil of Sauron, who terrorized life,
Theoden of Rohan, kind, kingly, and brave,
And his son (we don't meet him; we just see his grave)
Faramir, who didn't take the Power for himself,
Denethor, with a palantir sitting on his shelf,
Beregond the guard and his sturdy son Bergil
(They don't come in much, but I like them still),
Arwen and Elrond, elves of Rivendell,
Galadriel, another, the one with a mirror-well,
Shelob the monster (I won't tell you what she is),
Gollum, once-hobbit, slave to the Ring's whims,
Nine creatures called Nazgul, or Ringwraiths if you prefer,
Servants of Sauron, who I've mentioned before,
Saruman the White (who really was black,
He told us, 'many-colored', but don't believe a word of that),
The orcs, evil minions- What? What's that you say?
You've read the book already and you want to go away?
But I hadn't quite finished, there's so much left to cover-
Fine. Go and leave; I'll tell this to another.
I obviously didn't mean to type "king, kingly, and brave" under Theoden... This thing needs spell check, seriously...
I haven't seen Lord OF The Rings... But u did a really good job at the poem!!
