Working on apricotpie

Ben // 6/13/2009

Dear Friends,

I am working on fixing apricotpie. Recently we have had some trouble with...

  1. spam
  2. seeing a screen of letters, symbols, numbers instead of apricotpie
  3. posting?
  4. the pages load very slowly which can become frustrating, at least for me

apricotpie needs freshening up, and some better walls to protect it from the bad guys. I'm upgrading the system today and may switch the site to a faster host called Media Temple.

I say, let's make a Ben the

I say, let's make a Ben the Editor Day! Yay! June 25th or July 1st, whichever one is better. Anyone up for writing a song in honour of Ben? Something cheerful...

Benjamin Kniaz,
Or Ben as he's known
Works hard at AP
Harder than stone.

He makes things so easy
A grand chap is he
He makes life a pleasure
As well as can be.

How much we all love him
And though we don't show it,
We love all his hard work,
And want him to know it.

So, sir, if you doubt us
We have something to say,
We've done something special,
We gave you a day!

cool!!!

lovely. July 1st sounds good. We should all make a poem or something...

Second verse (or a piece of it) for song:

He built us this site
with all of his might
And we'd all like to say
Thanks from us on this special day!!!

Here's another poem! When

Here's another poem!

When Ben K. got bored
He made us this spot.
It’s light orange and deep blue
And we like it a lot.

Apricotpie
Was not always called so;
Names like apricotsquished
Had a really good flow.

But Apricotpie
Was chosen at last,
And we like that the best.
This website’s a blast.

So, Ben, we say thank you
And you know we have fun
And you now have a day
That’s on July 1!

Won't he be surprised when he looks on here and sees all these poems in his honor?

I Second the Motion!

No, I think that sounds good. But that means everyone on the site (except the spammers, of course) have to write. To bad this couldn't have been in secret...So, Ben! on the first day of July, be expecting emails praising your name! (That is good with everyone, right?.) Also, if we're going to do that, we need to let people know, because not everyone is involved in this conversation.
