River Song

A Poem By Damaris Ann // 8/23/2014

A river of tears flows from My eyes;
Because of your sin do I cry.
You do not heed Me, and often fall,
But I am still your All in All.

I will give you life
And
I will give you peace
And
I will be your comforting Hand.

I will be your strength
And
I will be your shield
And
I will be your own strong tower.

A river of life flows within Me.
The blood and the water run deep.
I will cherish you and wash you clean;
I will not judge you unjustly.

This was an inspiration of 15 minutes! Let me know what y'all think. Critiqe it as harshley as you want, I wouldn't be a true poet if I couldn't take criticism! :)

"The lines and verses are only the outward garments of the poem and are no more really it than your ruffles and flounces are YOU. The real poem is the soul within them . . . and that beautiful bit is the soul of an unwritten poem. It is not every day one

So I read your poem, went and listened to River Flows In You (for the first time; it was so lovely), and read your poem again with new eyes - very nice! It's really a wonderful idea, to write a poem about a musical piece that inspires you. Welcome to Apricot Pie!

Thanks a lot! That song is

Thanks a lot! That song is special to me because when I was a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding I walked in to that song. It has remained a favorite since then! I like a lot of Yiruma's songs because although none of them have words, they all say something to me. I have an idea for one or two more of his songs.....We'll see how that goes!
I really like the atmosphere here on AP and I feel like i already know some of y'all, I've read so much on here!
