to Thieves and Dream On readers

An Essay By Elizabeth Anne // 2/18/2013

Okay, so I felt like I owed you all some explanations for my lack of activity on both Dream On and Thieves.

THIEVES Readers: I have been working on Thieves, but I have been working on something you can't read yet... sorry. :) I had a really good idea for the ending that I really, really, really, really, really wanted to use, but I was afraid I would forget it so I needed to write it down. I have been working on the story, but I have recently been working on the ending only.
I can't exactly let you guys skip to the ending, now can I? :) I am now back to writing from where I left off in the middles, but I only started a couple of days ago, so it might be a little bit before I get to posting chapters again. Sorry.

DREAM ON Readers: I have hit a bit of writers block. I know what I want to do with the story, where it will end, where it begins, how everything unravels, etc. Unfortunately, I am having a bit of trouble with the subject matter. In a dream/nightmare things that would normally seem silly become ridiculously scary. I am just having trouble making my story have the feeling of nightmares (somewhat scary) while still being somewhat realistic and avoiding becoming a horror story. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! :)
Anyways, Dream On will not be updated for a while. How long, I cannot say because I do not know. Again, sorry.

DREAM ON and THIEVES Readers: I spent last week in Indiana at a biblical counseling conference with my mom. It was really convicting in some areas, and really inspiring in others. I came away from the conference exhausted, with my mind exploding. Who knew you could be so tired from sitting in the same place 24/7? :) Anyways, I came away from the conference with a TON of inspiration and unending ideas. I also came away from it with many (I haven't counted exactly, but I know it's a lot) poems (mine, not someone else's) which I want to share with you all and at least one article (in progress, I keep adding on to my thoughts, making it longer than originally intended) which I also intend to post at some point. As a result, for a while at least I will only be posting poetry and articles.
DO NOT DESPAIR! I do intend to also post chapters as they are written, but there will only be one a week, along with one poem or article, so that I can share as much as possible with you all.

Keep watching, new chapters will be coming soon!

See him with his books:
Tree beside the brooks,
Drinking at the root
Till the branch bear fruit.
See him with his pen:
Written line, and then,
Better thought preferred,
Deep from in the Word.

Thanks for the update. I did

Thanks for the update. I did catch up on the last two chapters, but I didn't really have anything to say about them... at least, not without thinking deeply for awhile. Sometimes the internet format really works, and other times you just want to read a book as a whole and then review it.
Good luck especially with Dream On. I know what you mean about trying to get nightmares to feel like that. And if you need to pursue other ideas at this point, go for it. Writers need to finish things, but who's to tell you what to finish? :)
