The Tree

Beneath the Tree

Beneath the tree
My mother sat
With little baby me

She softly spoke
Beneath the tree
Until I happily awoke

Beneath the tree
I first stood
Shining with glee

I walked to her
Beneath the tree
It oft’ did recur

Beneath the tree
I steadily grew
What a sight to see

As years passed by
Beneath the tree
I grew so very shy

Beneath the tree
I met a cute boy
I tried so hard to flee

But he slowly won
Beneath the tree
friendship had begun

Beneath the tree
We shared secrets
The world couldn’t see

Things slowly grew
Beneath the tree
I’m glad he felt it too

Beneath the tree
He said three words
Meant just for me

Promises softly spoken
Beneath the tree
Still remain unbroken

Beneath the tree
We said our vows
For all the world to see

Our love was grown
Beneath the tree
The seeds deeply sown

Beneath the tree
I gently rock
Our very first baby

I tell her how we met
Beneath the tree
I’m forever in its debt

Cute, just cute.

Ohh, so very cute. A very cute picture it paints, as well. One thing: to make the title better, I think you should call it "Beneath the Tree" since you repeat it a lot (which is great, I love repeats) and use that instead of just "The Tree".
Anyway, that was just my opinion! Cute is basically the only word that describes this poem; or at least that I can think of at the moment! :D

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

Thanks!!

I actually changed the name of the word document to Beneath the Tree, but I didn't put it on here. I guess I should have! I love repeats in poetry too, so I have been trying to work with that more! I'm glad you liked it!

O, your so welcome. Yes, please change it on here! It sounds cooler (if I may say so my self). I love repeats too; but I've never actually tried to use them, *guilty look* but I should try. You're quite good at them! XD

I must have missed this. I really like this poem. It's short but it flows really well! My favorite part: Beneath the tree/ he said those three words / just meant for me.Just thought it was cute. :)
