Wanderlust

A Poem By Emilee // 11/3/2012

This isn't one of my favorites, but I was told its been waiting longer so it deserved to be put up before some of my others! So, don't expect anything great but I hope you enjoy it! I would love a comment :)!

Wanderlust

Towering buildings
Entice
Bustling avenues
Draw

Everything just out of reach
One more mile
Everything just out of sight
One more hill

Animated forests
Entrance
Strange animals
Awake

Everything so far away
One more day
Everything so untouchable
One more inch

Foreign accents
Delight
Stranger’s stories
Excite

Everything so impossible
One more lifetime
Everything so unforgettable
One more mind

Desires inside
Burn
Dreams growing
Consume

Something begs within me
One more time
Something that has bitten
One more soul

That thing that bites
But never tells
That thing that’s right
About me
That thing that fights
It’s wanderlust

Comments
