Absolutely a feast to read, with my tea and raisin bread :) You are such a master of scattered imagery that ties together to create a whole. I wasn't expecting the rigid collar of a uniform after hearing "thick-rimmed glasses", so those two things solidly created a picture of him in my mind. And my favorite delicious part was the rickety swingset and cinnamon skin. Thanks for this!
Wow, thank you so much!

I was inspired and called skin cinnamon the other day, too. Whoops. ^-^
Ah! That's so good to hear! :0)
Mm, lovely!!! What a lovely, slightly bitter-sweet picture you painted! Very well done!
"Here's looking at you, Kid"
Oh goodness, Erin.
This is gorgeous.
Whenever I hear that word I always think of you, Erin :)
"February car windows"
Ahh, theres something magical about open car windows, is there not? I think there is. I'm going to use that. If you don't mind, hehe.
And this was beautiful:
"and the sun filtered through
your thick-rimmed glasses"
You are getting so good as writer, Erin. Your ability to convey imagery and your thoughts has grown so much. I'm so glad I've been able to witness that!
