Feather

A Poem By Madeline // 8/2/2013

You think he's a bird
But really he's a feather
You think he treads lightly
But your heart just gets heavier
At least he should know
At the least what he does
To you
But to be held accountable
Squeezed
To someone who
He has yet to blink at
That's wrong, it's so wrong
I think you just should
Let the feather go
It's not that beautiful anyway
It has a tear
And you don't really know it
Like you think you do
Which you realize
But you put it in your jewelry box
Despite that

everything was better when/you would call and I'd be like/yeah babe, no way

Nice wording!

I loved the wording in this, and the mysterious meaning behind it! Very very well done!

Love this!!!

I loved this! I think my favorite part was

You think he's a bird
But really he's a feather
You think he treads lightly
But your heart just gets heavier

and

And you don't really know it
Like you think you do
Which you realize

That part was especially poignant. Wonderful writing, as always. :)
