Patch

A Poem By Madeline // 4/22/2014

Double standards
High-wire
Tightrope-walking
Again
I say things I don't mean
And think things that I think
I can't do this anymore
A hair-trigger reply
Subdued five seconds later
As the tears well in my eyes
This thing is an all-
Encompassing deal
If this thing is a scratch
Then we'll see if it heals
Or maybe might possibly for the first time
Need patched

Aw... This is really well written! I want to hear the back story of it!!! The wording is spectacular as usual.
Definitely a favorite! Good job!

Lovely! I was going to outline my favourite lines of this, but when I tried, I wanted to copy and paste all of it to this comment, since every bit was my favourite. Enough said!
Oh, I thought the ending was a tiny bit abrupt.

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh
