Verse 1

You
You are looking at me
Everything that I think's
Tainted by
Your opinion of me
Making little comments
Talking bout my life
Acting like you know me
Subtly letting on that I don't try
Well, why should I

Chorus

No
Feels like I've eating
All my words since the day
We met
Cruising down the street
Of another tortured dream
I bet
Struggle to convince myself it
Wasn't something that
I said
I see red

Verse 2

Me
I might've used to believe
Now I wouldn't dare drink
From your hand
Dry throat and I'm weary
Drawing circles squarely
Just because I can
Best part of it ending
You can't do a single thing
Bout it
Bout it

Chorus

Bridge

Ruby for your eyes
Magenta for your smile
Crimson for the words
You made me say

Russet for your lies
Cherry for your might
Scarlet for the will
You stole away

Chorus

No
No
I see red
I see red
I've seen red

Your voice is so classical,

Your voice is so classical, and yet so your own! I know I've said this before, but I imagine it on the radio when I hear you sing. So pure and sweet and strong. So beautiful. And your lyrics are gorgeous -- I was so impressed with your multiple red-usages. So clever and lovely!

You have a beautiful voice,

You have a beautiful voice, and your song was really clever with the catchy rhythm. You are gifted musically! You must have worked hard to learn the piece and play it as well as sing it at the same time...great job. :)

I just looked up what it meant to "see red" because I wasn't sure if it was a cliche. But it was interesting how you used different shades of red in the verse, and then had that chorus.

Thank you, Megan! :) (...see what I did there?!?) I really appreciate your comment! And you taking the time to watch the video.

I was trying to use a lot of imagery and metaphor in the lyrics, so "I see red" just popped into my head. I'm pretty sure it's a cliche...but I can't say for sure! I didn't really have a direction for this or a meaning until it was done. It's fictional, but then again, a lot of my songs are.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
