Seattle

A Poem By j. Glen pollard // 3/31/2014

Where do I start, where do I begin
Thinkin’ of words like “How you’ve been?”
I suddenly bumped into you for a moment
And I tell myself “Don’t freak out guy, just hold it.”

I feel the sweat beginning tp come
Making me feel dumb
What are you doing here,
What more can I bear?

So I remember how it all began
About a girl whose name was Anne:

It started in Seattle a two years ago
On a the night of darkness and cold
We were sitting nice n’ snug in a caffee.
I’ll remember all my life that day.

I was going to college, you were for a degree
Then we both really noticed, what we really wanted to see
So I quit school and you stopped college,
‘Cause we saw what we really wanted

It started in Seattle two years ago
On a the night of darkness and cold
We were sitting nice n’ snug in a caffee.
I’ll remember all my life that day.

I set up my art studio
And we sang our songs , ain’t that a duo.
Then I found a work in New York City
But then you said you didn’t wanna leave.

It started in Seattle two years ago
On a the night of darkness and cold
We were sitting nice n’ snug in a caffee.
I’ll remember all my life that day.

So I left for the City
I said we’d write, you said we’ll see.
And now on my first exhibit
You came here and walked in .

It started in Seattle two years ago
On a the night of darkness and cold
We were sitting nice n’ snug in a caffee.
And now that you’re here, wada say?
It started in Seattle two years ago
And now we’re together, wada know.
So before you leave this big town
Why don’t we find a caffee and sit down.

I like it!!

This is REALLY good. The first stanza hooked me, and this seems really catchy. Do you play guitar? Do you have any chords to it? If you do play, even piano or something, make up the chords and post them!

EDIT: Oops, just read your notes...so yeah.
I think maybe I'll go play with my guitar and comment again...maybe G?

EDIT: Definitely C

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

I took piano for six years so I think I'll try C. Thanks for the comment!
