Go

A Poem By Keri // 9/25/2013

Without a thought for tomorrow,
Make your wish.
Without another soul,
Take the plunge.

Dive.
Into the river.
Into the water.
Into your dreams.

Don't be afraid.
Don't listen.
Don't forget me.

But go.
Just go.
Go.

I feel really connected to

I feel really connected to this; it was very simple and effective. I think that you know you love someone if you're willing to let them go. There's a certain point where you don't care about your own happiness if you are hindering theirs. That's the feeling that I got from this poem. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and completely misinterpreted everything lol. :)

Those last three lines. My goodness. There was an urgency about this poem (in my opinion) that I really loved. I also love how it says "Dont' listen" and then the narrator (be it you or whomever) goes on to command: "Don't forget me". Perhaps that was unintentional, but re-reading through it caught my eye. Personally, I felt like this poem was addressed to the person who wrote it...almost like they were telling themselves this. I know it's probably not right, but that's what it struck me as. :) Just lovely, Keri. Thank you for sharing.

Write On!

I like this.

Just simple but it reminds me of movies when they say "let her go" or when there's an urgency and one person says "Just GO!"

I love "Don't forget me"

And the last lines are so well done and perfect:

"But go.
Just go.
Go."

Well done!

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh
