Ghosts of Who I Used to Be

A Poem By paperpoet // 12/3/2010

There are ghosts that follow me
Shades of who I used to be
A child with a rose in her cheek
A teenager who just can’t sleep
In my ear they sing soft melodies
Tales of who I used to be
A college student full of hope
A wife who found she couldn’t cope
Their hallow eyes reflect to me
Hints of who I used to be
Clothes that were in fashion years ago
Faces that I used to know
In the mirror of my heart I see
Those ghosts of who I used to be

Very Nice!

I really enjoyed how you wrote this poem. It was yourself in words and it showed a lot of heart and courage.

You always make me sad,

You always make me sad, Anna! But your poetry still ROCKS.
