Who am I?

Well, hey there! Pleasure to meet you, friend. I am a graduate of homeschooling, a bachelor's graduate of Liberty University, a master's student of Texas A&M, and hope to, sooner or later, be a PhD candidate from Rice U. I'm also short. 5' 0", to be exact. I'm essentially the definition of the crazy cat lady. I live in my own cozy little place with a terribly needy and clingy cat, myriads of old books, an Irish folk harp, a fiddle, a '60's banjo, and a Blueridge guitar. While I'm obviously a writer, I am primarily a student of analytics and statistics. My bachelor's is Business, my master's analytics, and my doctorate (hopefully) will be statistics. Numbers, tables, graphs, and formulas are ever so satisfying to my nerdy soul. I'm hopeful to utilize this in ministry within five to ten years (I know, an odd choice of education for a missions enthusiast--just ask if you're curious and I'll explain). I'm a daughter, a sister, a friend, an artist, a writer, a musician, and an intellectual. As a writer, I strive to learn from the great literary geniuses of history--Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, T.S. Eliot, and Robert Frost. My writing borrows much from Dickens, with with a touch of Mark Twainish Americana. I'm a bit of a musician, and can often be found jamming with the locals on a front porch, park bench, or out in front of Starbucks. Yes, we do that in Texas. I live under the great, wide open Texas sky; I love nothing more than a sunny day in a farmer's field; and I'm madly in love with beauty--beauty in art, beauty in creation, beauty in life. Oh, and I also love coffee. Beautiful, dark, rich, hot coffee. There's not much that I detest, exactly; probably just nails scratching chalkboards (eeekkk), broken friendships (sadness), dirty eyeglasses (blindness XD), and empty peanut butter jars (also sadness). I'm always looking for adventure, story ideas, and another piece of chocolate. And, of course, the Narnia wardrobe.
