The World is Wide

A Poem By The Brit // 10/25/2008

The world is wide with much to see,
And many sights that wait for me.
So many countries near and far,
And some, I don't know where they are.

Rainy Britain, sunny Spain.
I'll get to them by boat or plane.
I'll travel far to see these places,
Brand new cultures, brand new faces.

So many ways to travel there,
By land, by sea, and by the air.
The great wall of China, the Coliseum of Rome.
I'd much rather travel, than sit at home.

The Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal.
Buckingham Palace, Lake Baykal.
The world is wide with much to see,
And many sights that wait for me.

Cool poem. One of my dreams

Cool poem.

One of my dreams is to travel internationally. Is something like that what inspired this?

Welcome to Apricotpie, btw. :)

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." -Bilbo Baggins [The Lord of the Rings]

I like this one, Hannah!!!!

I like this poem. All those places are so exotic and mysterious!!!!
Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Well written!

Very well written poem!

And I love traveling, too! Great adventures!

Dear Britt

I just read your profile and your two poems. Wow. You sound like a twenty-year-old. Your writing style is very mature, and your ability to communicate through writing is beyond your years.

One day, I'll be able to say I knew her way back when...

Write, write, write, write, write!

Thank you. I always like it

Thank you. I always like it when people say that I am older than I actually am. You have given an incredible boost to my confidence. Thank you very much.
