Ballad of the Traveling Man

A poem by Ezra | 4/13/2008

In the small dark village of Yakathaim
Near the edge of blackness vale
I spied a bronzen man who came
O’re the rocky mountain trail

His boots were cov’ed in gritty dust
His hands were worn and rough
His sword was red with years of rust
And His voice was thick and gruff

“Ho, thou long worn traveling-man,”
I hailed him on the road,

Arya-Chapter Five

Fiction by Sarah H | 2/1/2008

Chapter Five
Arya’s Twentieth

Arya rolled out of bed, pulling her tunic over her head.
She curled up on the window-seat choosing a book from the bookshelf.

“And o’re the gloaming sea,
a band of pirates came,
to slaughter all misfortunates,
who in their bloody path lay.”

Arya yawned, slamming the book closed,

A poem by Timothy | 1/27/2007

When morning comes I hope it finds my feet in distant lands
In homely cottages of old, or maybe castles grand
Wherever it will lead me, I will go with eager heart

Turkish Delight, episode 2

An essay by Aisling | 1/12/2006

Ah, yes. The fateful day dawned. The first thing I did upon coming downstairs was to lift the pan off the Turkish Delight and peek at it. It looked just like it had the day before, but I wasn’t to be daunted. It seemed an unbelievably long time until 2:30. I checked the clock(s) continually. And then, finally, twenty-four hours had passed.

The Wizard's Ball

Fiction by Aisling | 9/24/2005

Once upon a time--indeed upon the beginning of time as we know it--there lived a wizard.

Not the sort of wizard that wears a blue robe with bright yellow stars on it, and sits and stirs a cauldron all day. No, he was a real wizard.”

“What did he look like?” Rannon interrupted.
