My Teachers, Old and New

My teachers, they were fickle things
When I was still at school
One day they’d be oh so mean
The next day oh so cool.

They say you need a good night’s sleep,
Be sure to get lots of rest,
But here we are, at one o’ clock,
Still studying for that test!

But now my teachers are much more gentle,
More patient and more kind,
I think they must be the best teachers

In Defense of My Home-Education

I think we probably all get these people, whether we know them or meet them somewhere, who just don’t understand the mind-set of homeschooling.
They ask, “Don’t you ever want to go to school?”
And you say, “No.”
And they say, “Well, how can you know—you’ve never gone.” (In my case, anyway, I haven’t.)
