Continual chatter, crickets at night
Eating lunch
They wave – lions on an antelope
I’m the hyena, scavenging
Hello, hello, hello.

Expectations
the people buzz in my head
Busy bees flying to and fro
Going over and over
The same flowers
I wade through chaos, trudging
Try, try, try.

Just give me numbers
And questions
And quiet
Breath deep
The world fluctuates
