I'll Still Be Alive

A poem by Velocity | 4/22/2008

I’ll Be Alive

Do you know how it feels when you say “I don’t need you”

Do you know what it’s like to be unwanted?

Do you know what my heart is or do you only care about the cover?

I see the faces in the nights, their eyes shoot out at me their tears fill the song.

Their laugh makes my heart crumble, it’s almost gone

You’ve taken a piece of my heart, You’ve taken a slice of my life away.

I want to take yours, and want to make you hurt like you hurt me.

But I must be strong and turn the other cheek,

You’re so called love that you showed me was fake, like your hands touching mine.

Yesterday I saw you walking looking at the girls

My heart doesn’t matter anymore

I live in a different world

You sent me hurt

You took my love

You cut me in half

You broke my heart

My makeup runs down my cheeks every night

As I remember that I’m sitting alone in the dark

What to do with my life…

I’m going to move on and make a difference in others

So I’ll be alive.
