The Girl with the Bloody Dagger

A Poem By The Way // 6/10/2013

I wasn’t afraid to turn my back
The cuts were healing
The scars disappearing
The tears no more

But she stabbed me in the back
She made the cuts bleed afresh
The scars were cut deeper by her
The tears renewed

Does her treachery know no bounds?
Does my anguish
And tears mean nothing to her?
But maybe it does
In that cold heart of hers
She might enjoy my pain
When she digs the dagger in deeper
Does she laugh?
Or do my cries bring her sorrow?
Does she regret what she has done to me?
I’d like to believe she regrets
But do I truly know
The Girl with the Bloody Dagger?

This brought tears to my eyes. You so vividly captured the emotion so well, I'm pretty speechless. I'm glad you posted it here. And I do hope everything got sorted, in the end :) But wow, you expressed your hurt and anger very very well.

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh
